Adam Script is a bilingual type system (Arabic–expanded Latin) designed to deliver an elegant, graceful visual presence for artistic and commercial applications that require a strong, dynamic identity. The aim was not to conform to tired formulas but to build a spectral tool serving headlines, logotypes, and UI contexts where typographic personality and visual clarity are essential.
Throughout development a series of field and analytical tests were conducted; test moments were visually documented to feed the design process. These experimental specimens provided direct feedback on letter construction, proportions, stroke weight, and spacing—especially the complexities of Arabic text—allowing the visual rhythm to be tuned and legibility improved at both small and large sizes.
On the technical side, the team concentrated on calibrating weight distribution and optical interpolation across the family to ensure smooth transitions between weights, and on resolving intersection points between Arabic and Latin letterforms when used on the same line. OpenType behavior was examined for diacritics, contextual alternates, and cross-script kerning maps to prevent visual collisions in mixed text.
The result is a typeface that balances the advertising and artistic presence of script-like forms with an organized geometric sensibility, enabling use across print and digital environments. Retaining the test specimens proved methodical and useful: they provided a visual record and technical reference at critical review points, and a source for improvement procedures based on measured evidence rather than assumptions.
